Bromic Heating in Las Vegas
Las Vegas has a winter. It is short and the days are pleasant, but from November to March the evening temperature drops fast after sunset, and an outdoor kitchen without heat gets used for lunch. Bromic exists to fix that: Australian-designed radiant heaters, gas and electric, that mount to a ceiling, a wall or a pole and heat the people rather than the air. A properly specified Bromic installation turns a patio from a seven-month space into a twelve-month one.
We carry 46 active Bromic products: the heaters themselves across four lines, the mounts and recess kits that install them, the heat deflectors a covered patio needs, and the Affinity controllers that run them.
The Bromic lines
Platinum
The flagship. Platinum Smart-Heat gas and electric, plus a Marine electric version for corrosive environments. The gas Platinum is the heater for an open or high-ceilinged patio where output matters most; the electric is for lower clearances and enclosed spaces.
Tungsten
Bromic's workhorse, in gas, electric and freestanding versions. The Tungsten gas heater with its heat deflector is what we specify most often for a covered outdoor kitchen, and the freestanding is for anyone who wants to move the heat around the yard.
Eclipse
Electric heat combined with a light, as a pendant on a straight or curved ceiling pole or as a freestanding unit. The one for a dining area where the heater is in view and should look like a fixture rather than equipment.
Cobalt
A compact electric heater for tighter spaces and lower clearances.
Gas or electric?
Gas heaters produce more heat for the money and suit open patios and high ceilings, but need the clearances and a gas line. Electric heaters install closer to the ceiling, run silently with no combustion, and suit covered patios, enclosed rooms and anywhere the mounting height is limited — but need a dedicated circuit. Most of the installations we do in Las Vegas are a mix: gas over the open seating, electric under the cover. Getting that split right is the design job.
Installation and control
- Mounts — ceiling pole mounts for every line, straight and curved poles for the Eclipse, and wall mounting.
- Recess kits — standard and low-clearance kits that let a Platinum sit flush in a ceiling, including the Marine version.
- Heat deflectors — for the Platinum and Tungsten gas heaters. Required under a ceiling, and the single most commonly skipped component in a DIY installation.
- Affinity controllers — on/off, dimmer and Eclipse controllers plus an expansion board, so the heaters run from a wall switch or a smart-home system rather than a pull chain.
Buying Bromic in Las Vegas
Patio heaters are a clearance and load calculation before they are a product choice: distance to the ceiling, to combustible materials and to the people below, gas line capacity or circuit load, and how the heaters are switched. As a licensed Nevada contractor we handle that as part of a complete outdoor kitchen or as a standalone heating installation, and the heaters are on display at our S Fort Apache showroom. We also carry Infratech electric heaters if a comparison helps.
Common Questions
Bromic Heating — Common Questions
Gas or electric Bromic heater — which is right for my patio?
Gas for open patios and high ceilings, where the extra output matters and the clearances are easy. Electric for covered patios, enclosed rooms and lower mounting heights, where it installs closer to the ceiling and runs without combustion. Many Las Vegas installations use both: gas over open seating, electric under the cover.
How many Bromic heaters do I need?
It depends on the area, the mounting height, whether the space is covered and how exposed it is to wind. A typical covered outdoor kitchen and dining area uses two to four heaters. We do a layout rather than estimate, because an under-heated patio in January is the complaint we hear most about other people's installations.
Do I need a heat deflector?
For a gas Platinum or Tungsten under any ceiling, yes. The deflector directs heat down and away from the ceiling material and reduces the required clearance. It is the component most often left out of a DIY installation and the one that matters most for safety.
Can a Bromic heater be recessed into the ceiling?
Yes — the Platinum electric has standard and low-clearance recess kits, including for the Marine version, so the heater sits flush. The ceiling cavity and the clearances need to be confirmed before the ceiling is built, so raise it at the design stage.
Can the heaters be controlled from a wall switch or a smart home?
Yes. Bromic's Affinity controllers — on/off, dimmer and Eclipse versions, plus an expansion board — let the heaters run from wall controls or integrate with a smart-home system. We install and wire them as part of the heating installation.
Does BBQ Concepts install Bromic heaters in Las Vegas?
Yes. As a licensed and insured Nevada contractor we handle the clearance calculations, the gas line or dedicated circuit, the mounting and the controls, as part of an outdoor kitchen or as a standalone installation. We also sell Bromic to homeowners and contractors handling their own installation.
