Memphis Wood Fire Grills in Las Vegas

Memphis makes the pellet grill for people who want one appliance to do everything properly. Where most pellet grills are smokers that will grudgingly grill, a Memphis holds temperature from around 180°F for a long smoke up to roughly 700°F for a direct sear — which means brisket on Saturday and steak on Tuesday, on the same unit, without compromise on either.

The range is deliberately small and we carry it complete: six grills — three built-in and three freestanding — plus Memphis hardwood pellets in a spread of wood varieties.

The Memphis range

Memphis Elite

The top of the line, in built-in and cart configurations, with the largest cooking capacity and the heaviest construction. Double-wall stainless, which is what actually lets the grill hold a low temperature through a cold night — most pellet grills lose the fight with ambient temperature.

Memphis Pro

The same core technology in a smaller footprint, built-in or cart. For most households this is the right Memphis, and it is the one we sell most.

Memphis Elevate

The entry into the brand, built-in or freestanding, and a considerably lower price of entry than the Elite or Pro while keeping the temperature range that defines the line.

The ITC3 controller

Elite and Pro use the Intelligent Temperature Control system, which holds a set point closely and can be managed from your phone. The practical effect is that an overnight cook is genuinely unattended rather than nominally unattended.

Why a Memphis works in a Las Vegas kitchen

Two reasons specific to here. First, the built-in models are designed to drop into masonry, so you can have real wood smoke as a permanent part of the kitchen rather than a cart that lives against a wall and gets dragged out. Second, double-wall insulation matters more in a climate that swings from 110°F afternoons to 40°F winter nights than it does in a mild one — temperature stability is the whole proposition of a pellet grill, and thin-walled units lose it.

Worth knowing at the planning stage: a built-in pellet grill needs a hopper you can actually reach and refill, and clearance for the pellets. It is an easy thing to design in and an expensive thing to fix afterwards.

Pellets are a real variable

We stock Memphis hardwood pellets in several varieties because the wood genuinely changes the result — apple and cherry for poultry and pork, a heavier hardwood for beef. It is the cheapest way to change what comes off the grill, and the most frequently overlooked.

Buying Memphis in Las Vegas

Memphis is a serious investment and worth seeing before committing. The grills are on our floor at S Fort Apache, and the gap between Elevate, Pro and Elite is much easier to judge with all three in front of you. We also design, fabricate and install the kitchens they go into as a licensed and insured Nevada contractor, which for a built-in pellet grill means the hopper access, the clearances and the electrical are all planned rather than discovered. Talk to us for a quote covering the grill and the kitchen together — see how we build, or browse the Traeger range if you want to compare pellet options.

Common Questions

Memphis Wood Fire Grills — Common Questions

Can you grill and sear on a Memphis, or only smoke?

Both, and that is the point of the brand. A Memphis runs from around 180°F for long smoking up to roughly 700°F for direct searing, so it handles brisket and steak on the same unit. Most pellet grills top out well short of searing temperature, which is why they end up as a second appliance alongside a gas grill rather than replacing one.

What is the difference between Memphis Elite, Pro and Elevate?

Elite is the top model with the largest capacity and the heaviest double-wall construction. Pro has the same core technology in a smaller footprint and is the one most households should buy. Elevate is the entry point, at a considerably lower price, keeping the wide temperature range that defines the brand. Elite and Pro use the ITC3 controller with phone control; all three come in built-in and freestanding forms.

How much does a Memphis grill cost?

It depends on the model, on built-in versus cart, and — if it is going into an island — on the kitchen around it, which is usually the larger number. Rather than quote a figure that ignores half the job, we will put together a quote covering the grill and the installation together. Come into the showroom or call us. What is worth knowing beforehand is where the money goes between models: the jump from Elevate to Pro buys different things than the jump from Pro to Elite, and we will walk you through both.

Can a Memphis pellet grill be built into an outdoor kitchen?

Yes — Elite, Pro and Elevate all come in built-in versions designed to drop into masonry, which is unusual and is a large part of why we carry the brand. Plan the hopper access and pellet clearance at the design stage; reaching a hopper you have accidentally walled in is an expensive thing to fix later.

Does the type of wood pellet actually matter?

Yes, more than most people expect. Apple and cherry suit poultry and pork; heavier hardwoods stand up to beef. We stock Memphis hardwood pellets in several varieties because it is the cheapest way to change what comes off the grill. Using quality pellets also matters mechanically — cheap pellets produce more ash and more controller trouble.

Memphis or Traeger — which should I buy?

Traeger if you want a well-supported pellet grill at a mainstream price, with a huge accessory and recipe ecosystem. Memphis if you want one appliance that genuinely sears as well as it smokes, or if you want a true built-in as part of a masonry kitchen. We carry both and will give you a straight answer based on how you actually cook.
