Napoleon Grills in Las Vegas
Napoleon is a Canadian company that started in fireplaces and brought the same engineering to grills: a rear infrared rotisserie burner on most of the range, a ceramic infrared side burner it calls the SIZZLE ZONE, stainless WAVE cooking grids and Jetfire ignition on every burner. It is the brand people land on when they want more grill than a Weber without stepping into the built-in premium bracket, and it is a good answer to that question.
We carry 11 active Napoleon grills: eight freestanding and three built-in. That split matters, and it is the honest thing to say first.
The Napoleon range
Rogue XT — 425, 525 and 625
Napoleon's freestanding mid-range, with the side infrared burner on every model we stock. Three, four and five main burners respectively. The grill for a patio rather than an island — serious cooking hardware on a cart, at a position that leaves room in the budget.
Prestige 500 and 665
The step up, freestanding, with both the rear infrared rotisserie burner and the side infrared burner. The 500 is a four-burner, the 665 a five-burner with more width. The Phantom Prestige 500 is the same grill in matte black with Napoleon's connected controls.
Prestige PRO 500 and 665
Heavier grids, a more substantial build and the full set of infrared burners. The top of Napoleon's freestanding line and the one to compare directly against a built-in.
Built-in: Prestige 500, Prestige PRO 500 and Prestige PRO 665
Napoleon's three built-in heads, each with the rear infrared rotisserie burner. These are the grills that go into an island, and the reason to compare Napoleon with Blaze — which we have done in detail in our Blaze vs Napoleon comparison.
Freestanding or built in?
Most of Napoleon's strength is on a cart. If you want the best freestanding gas grill short of a commercial unit, a Prestige PRO is a very good one, and it is a step up from any Weber we have seen — we have written about Weber alternatives for exactly that reader. If you are building an island, the three Napoleon built-ins are solid, but Blaze, Summerset and Delta Heat have deeper component lines for finishing the whole kitchen in one brand. We will tell you which you need.
Buying Napoleon in Las Vegas
The Rogue and Prestige lines are on the floor at our S Fort Apache showroom. For a freestanding grill, you can take one home. For a built-in, we design, fabricate and install complete outdoor kitchens as a licensed Nevada contractor, including the gas line for the rotisserie and side burners that a Napoleon runs at full output.
Common Questions
Napoleon — Common Questions
Does Napoleon make a built-in grill?
Yes — three of them: the Built-In Prestige 500, Prestige PRO 500 and Prestige PRO 665, each with a rear infrared rotisserie burner. Most of Napoleon's range is freestanding, though, so if you are building an island it is worth comparing the built-ins directly against Blaze, which we have done in a separate article.
Rogue XT or Prestige — what is the difference?
Rogue XT is the mid-range freestanding line with a side infrared burner. Prestige adds the rear infrared rotisserie burner and a heavier build, and Prestige PRO adds heavier grids and a more substantial construction again. If you use a rotisserie, start at Prestige.
What is the SIZZLE ZONE?
Napoleon's name for its ceramic infrared side burner. It reaches searing temperatures quickly and is used for finishing steak with a hard crust — something a standard gas burner cannot do. It is on every Rogue XT and Prestige grill we stock.
Is Napoleon better than Weber?
At the same size, a Napoleon Prestige has features a comparable Weber does not — the rear infrared rotisserie burner, the infrared side burner and Jetfire ignition on each burner. Whether that is worth the step depends on how you cook. We have written a full Weber alternatives comparison covering Napoleon, Blaze and Lynx.
Where are Napoleon grills made?
Napoleon is a Canadian company headquartered in Barrie, Ontario, where it began as a fireplace manufacturer. Where individual models are built varies across the range; if the origin matters to your decision, ask us about the specific grill and we will check rather than guess.
Does BBQ Concepts install Napoleon grills in Las Vegas?
Yes, for the built-in Prestige models as part of a complete outdoor kitchen — we are a licensed and insured Nevada contractor handling design, gas, electrical and installation. Freestanding Rogue and Prestige grills can go home with you from the showroom.
